Open Question: I think I made my b/f hate me what do I do?

Ok my b/f needed his haircut and was going to go to his barber tommorow. He pays $80 cause he always gets a custom blowout that's his haircut that he's always had. His hair was getting too long to spike and he started lookin like sonic the hedgehog and quit spiking it. It is like his signature haircut. I told him to let me clip his hair because it was getting too long. I figured I could clip it and 80 bucks is high for a mens haircut and we could use that for date money. He didnt want me too but I insisted and he let me clip it. I could tell he was really upset after I clip his hair. He's real picky about his looks and such and he told me I clip it way to short and now he's going to have to go to the mall tommorow and buy a bunch of hats to match his shorts at work cause he looks like a marine fag. I've been crying in my room for 2 hrs I feel like he's so upset because he keeps lookin in the mirror and he looks visibily upset. I know he's upset cause he's drinkin and frowning. Open Question: xbox 360 for $180 ..........?

was this a good deal..... xbox 360 Elite with 2 controles an 5 games.....games are battle Night Round 3, MW2, Halo don't know which halo though, UFC 2009 and some other game that's saved in the difficult steer.....Xbox has 1 month left of Standard warranty...... and i believe it has 2 more years if it gets RROD i don't know about that correct me if im wrong.....i bought it for $180 from a marine who is in relieve i think that's how you say it.....well he sold it to me and its in great condition like new......i possess a ps3 slim and i notice that the analog sticks for the 360 are nice of difficult to move and the ps3 are soft and easy to move...are they suppose to be like this..... difficult steer is 120GB

So, im in adore with my boyfriend, who i have ben dating for around two and a half years. He'll be leaving soon for marine boot camp, and i totally support him. We're gonna stuck through it together. We plan to marry one day after i graduate next year. But i will be applying for colleges soon and am unsure whether or not i should wait to look if i can move with him when he gets stationed and possibly do online classes, or if i should stay around home and go to a real college. He said hes fine with either, but its tough cause i dont really want to be away from him for long, he's my other half.

Open Question: Which branch is best for me?

Im 15 and i plan on joining the armed forces after college. I've narrowed it down too two options: the Marine Corps, or the Army. I plan to enlist first rather than become an officer because i feel i should gain experience before i become responsible for others lives. Dont receive me wrong though, i do possibly plan on becoming an officer however i feel that i wont be ready. Also im getting a degree in Accounting. My MOS that i want is an infantrymen (riflemen) however i want to receive an MOS in accounting when i pick to re-enlist (to receive me prepared for a career if i pick to not stay in either branches). If i like the military during my first contract however, im going to stay as an infantrymen and try to make a career in the military. As of now i can do 90 push ups (2 min) 95 situps(2 min) and i can run a 6 minute mile. I work out however i dont play any sports so i sometimes feel that i wont be ready physically just because im not very active. Im also only 120lbs and im 5'8. I really like the marine corps because of the pride and the training and the knowledge that im going to be doing something great. I really like the Army because i feel like it offers me better things as an infantrymen (newer equipment). I dont like the marines because from what i hear they do a lot of amphibious assualts and i know a lot about history and the casualties suffered from amphibious assualts. I dont like the army because they dont have as much pride as the marines (it seems like it). So based on what i want what branch is best for me? I prefer answers from marines or soldiers. Also what is life like on and off duty? How much free time do you have?

Open Question: Party ideas for a US Marine's home coming?

I wanna toss a surprise party for my Marine's home coming. It's going to be a pool party no matter what. But i was wondering what nice of theme/decorations i should have? Here's a little background on the situation: He's 19, but by the time he comes home he'll be 20. every our friends range from 17-23 but no one drinks--or at least will not expect to drink at the party. we every know each other through church, so i want it to be like almost "family friendly" aka we cant really have drinks, especially since some guests will be below 21 and dont agree with underaged drinking. He also is coming home from Japan for a month and then going back for another year and a half. he is one of my closest friends and i want this to be really special to him. also, i wanted to serve chinese and japanese food cuz it's his favorite, but im afraid he might be sick of it after being in japan over 2 years. so any ideas of any sort are welcomed! thanks for your help!

Open Question: Is there any way to speed up an entry level separation?

I am trying to receive an entry level separation from the Marine Corps so i can go into the Army. i was only in DEP and havent been to any training. the Marine recruiters wanted me to lie about stuff and they kept lying to me and i got a little sleepy of it. i told them i wanted out and they said i would receive discharged in December because they had no spots to discharge me until then which makes no sense. is there any way to speed this process up? ive already sworn in at meps

Open Question: For some reason, I randomly get that sinking feeling...?

Of when something bad happens. I'm completely healthy, by the way. Just a lot of stuff has been happening. My parents aren't together, and my mom has liver cancer and is due to die in six months. Some guy and I had a thing, and he ended up leaving me in the middle of that. We're struggling financially since my mom put us in such bad debt... My boyfriend's mom doesn't like me, and doesn't want us to look each other. It been a month since we seen each other, but we're still going fine. I feel like I have no real friends, sometimes. My boyfriend is one of them along with my best pal... But my best pal in the whole entire world has been out of the country for a while. Both of my brothers are leaving for the marines soon, leaving this home for me and my dad. I'm not suicidal. I'm not doing anything drastic. I don't drink or do drugs. I'm not attractive, not ugly either. I'm normalish. I just randomly receive that sinking feeling in my heart and stomach, the one when you figure out something terrible. I feel like something else is going to arrive up. I don't sob often, and if I do it's only for five minutes. When my mom told me the Doctors told her she was going to expire in six months, I cried for maybe 10 minutes, tops. I'm perfectly glad, just randomly I feel like crap. I'm not stressed, my life is fine. This is just how things go, I guess... It's not like I live in Africa or something, I'm grateful I think. But lately, it feels like after something finally good happens to me, life is looking up something happens. Is that why I feel like this? Preparing for something to happen? For example, I felt fantastic a week ago. I got over the separation, which happened about 8 months ago... Then randomly, my mom calls me and says she doesn't want to live anymore. She wants to kill herself and receive over with it, that she wants me to move on if she does something. Things like this keep on happening, when I finally think my boyfriends mom likes me, it turns out she hates me. When my best pal and I finally receive to look each other, she goes to Russia. When my brothers and I start to receive along, they're leaving. I don't like to complain, but I feel like it's getting out of hand. If it means anything, I'm 15 years old. I'm a complete realist too, I try not to be naive. I'm just sick of the sinking feeling. I feel like it happens every couple of hours. Why am I feeling this way? Can I cease it?

i am going into the marines and my max weight is 141 for my height and i weigh 154 right now. i wasn't suppose to boat out till september but because one female got dropped it opened up a spot for me to leave at the end of august. what are some effective ways to lose weight quick. healthy or not healthy. i know some of you are going to go on about how unhealthy it is but really i don't care i want to serve my country asap. thank you. Open Question: How in depth is the 'screening' for Marine Corps?

I want to join the Marine Corps. I'm a 19 year old Junior in college. I've done both Marine Corps JROTC and NROTC (I also go to a senior military college). College isn't working out for me and I'd adore to enlist. I have the grades, SAT score, ASVAB will be no problem for me. However, I've been hospitalized as a kid for depression. I was 13 at the time. I know recruiters will ask about my previous hospitalization although my current one "forgot" to ask me. How in depth will my screening be, medically? I have no criminal record, no tickets, nothing. No asthma. Besides my hospitalization for depression, my record is spotless and I'm physically fit. Any advice on how to go about this? I've told every recruiter about this beforehand and every of them said they can't help me out. I believe this recruiter knows because I've been in that office three years ago but I think he's purposely not asking.

Open Question: Blank sketchbook/journal?

I need a tiny, blank journal/sketchbook beause I am going on an adventure year and I want to record the adventures for my family and start a time capsule. I am also joining the Royal Marines next year so I want to write a war journal for the capsule. The only specifications that I want is; - tiny (around regular bible size) - Soft leather/similar texture cover - Preferably no spiral binding - The cover and pages need to be blank, no design. - The pages would preferably have to be quite thick, not like tracing paper. Anyone know where I can receive such a book? Thank-you. Any links would be very helpful, I've tried looking for one but am having a difficult time finding one.

Open Question: How do I find my friend, a United States Marine, in Afghanistan?

One of my good friends went to Iraq a year and a half ago, and maintained contact with me at least once every 2 weeks. He came back to the States at the end of last year, and then was shipped to Afghanistan again in January of this year. I haven't heard from him since Jan 28th, which was apparently either when he was already over there, or was on his way. He was supposed to have gotten there by Jan 23rd, but it wasn't clear... Anyway, I haven't heard from him in 6 months now, and am getting worried. It could be that communication is limited where he is now. But, how would I find him? (Yes I know his last name, and I know his rank as of September '09.)

My dad sent me this, supposed to be true. A sister of a Marien, I can tell you it is most plausable. But, not really caring if it's true or not, what do you think about it? Good teacher? Good Marien? Good God? Just a darn good story? If you don't know GOD, don't make stupid remarks!!!!!! A United States Marine was taking some college courses between assignments. He had completed 20 missions in Iraq and Afghanistan . One of the courses had a professor who was an avowed atheist, and a member of the ACLU. One day the professor shocked the class when he came in. He looked to the ceiling and flatly stated, "GOD, if you are real, then I want you to knock me off this platform... I'll give you exactly 15 min." The lecture room fell silent. You could hear a pin drop. Ten minutes went by and the professor proclaimed, "Here I am GOD, I'm still waiting." It got down to the last couple of minutes when the Marine got out of his seat, went up to the professor, and icy-cocked him; knocking him off the platform. The professor was out icy. The Marine went back to his seat and sat there, silently. The other students were shocked and stunned, and sat there looking on in silence. The professor eventually came to, noticeably shaken, looked at the Marine and asked, "What in the world is the matter with you? Why did you do that?" The Marine calmly replied, "GOD was too busy today protecting America 's soldiers who are protecting your right to say stupid stuff and act like an idiot. So He sent me." Open Question: How to lose weight? Am I missing something or doing anything wrong?

Hello. I'm 17, Male, 5'10 and I weigh 200lbs. I worked out for a year, so I have some muscle..I'd say.. 60fat/40muscle.. But I want to lose weight..I been trying a few things that people told me it would be good but you know, so far I don't know... I look no difference, or..maybe I just fail but yeah. Here's what I do. Monday, Wednesday, Friday - Wake up, go biking for 30 mins for cardio, arrive back and do 5 sets of Military Push ups, and sit ups until failure. At 5pm, the same, and at 9pm, Go for a run, military pushups and sit ups. Also, 20 tug ups on every of them. Tuesday, Thursday, Saturday - Wake up, Go biking for cardio, arrive back and do jumping cord for 15-30 mins, same at 5pm. at 9pm, its the same except I go for a run. Sunday is a relax day. My eating diet..Here's the thing. I "DON'T" eat vegetables at every. -_- I know that...thats probably why I'm not exactly achieving my goal, but yeah. I don't, and I..sometimes drink these..vegetable juices..like V8 and stuff..idk if they help but you know.. Anyway. My eating schedule is this: BREAKFAST - 6:00AM-10:00AM LUNCH - 12:00PM-1:00PM AFTERNOON SNACK - 3:00PM-4:00PM DINNER - 6:00PM-7:00PM I tend to eat 1200-1500 calories only, but after seeing some things, I may be doing something wrong. I need help, any advice..anything. Am I doing something wrong, should I eat more, should I exercise more, anything, something. I need to lose at LEAST..20-30 pounds of fat by..say, summer 2011. Need help. anything please! :( Also. I plan to join the US Marines in 1 year, I'm hoping that would be enough time to receive in real good shape.

Open Question: Gulf Oil spill impact on Louisiana State (just a couple of questions )?

I am Peruvian and moving in a week to Louisiana so I would like to know the effects this spill has on the State, I have been reading on internet as a way of figuring out ways to protect myself from any health damage. I know that the oil dispersant has affected wildlife, marine habitats and fisher men's livelihoods. Nevertheless, it has been said little about the effects on people 's health. What I am concerned about is whether it will be safe to consume seafood there, and if drinking water is healthy. Will it be safe to go to the beach at every? You know it is summer and I bet I would want to go to the beach but I do not know if it might be contaminated and could cause me any skin problems considering I am very allergic to many things. Open Question: Is it illegal to sell my home made electronic light unit for a marine fish tank?

I have made a lighting unit for a nano tank. It is made from 2" box section and galvanized steel dish. I have fabricated a basic box and luminary fixture. The lighting unit electronics have been removed from 2 PL-11W lighting units bought from IKEA. I have literally just transferred them across. It also has a 1*18W ballast taken from an AQUA ONE 18W luminaire. In my opinion the electronics is sound. every original wiring is gift and it is setup as it would be in the lamp they came from. The time has arrive for me to sell the tank, lighting and custom filter and i want to sell it as a starter kit. I am unsure weather i need any legally sell this on eBAY but it looks professional and is a shame to go to waste. Thanks Loads Graham

Open Question: how often do women marines get deployed?

If i could do marine infantry i would and serve on the front line for my country, but i cant because i am a female. so my question is how often do USMC women receive deployed, and what is the likely chance out of 10, that i will be deployed as a (MP) military police, 10 being the highest? any answers greatly appreciated from any military personal.

I know you can do it for the army and navy. I just wanna know what website you can do it for the marines. i couldnt find anything on marines.com but if there is can you send me a link. I need to find out some information so an online chat link for the marines would be appreciated. also i went on navy.com and did an online chat there. Even though the marines are a part of the navy they were unable to answer my questions.

Open Question: This is the most difficult question I've ever asked! Why do I feel the following...?

I look war, as everyone I associate with, as a despicable, but necessary, means to an end. I adore my country... and admit slight bias. I appreciate that I am a 'mushroom'(kept in the dark and fed BS!). So why do I abhor 'the enemies actions', yet am able to be nonchalant about 'our boys similar activities'? My granddad, a Royal Marine, was 17 yo when he enlisted. He was in the Normandy and D-Day landings... and even he felt more compassion than myself, once telling me that during an xmas day amnesty, "They were kids just like you and me, at the time. And I cried on meeting them. I knew I had to kill them the next time I seen them!". I think the question should be phrased, 'Am I losing my humanity?' Thanks....

My pal from high school is in the marines and he plans to arrive visit me. I am in college. I know he has a girlfriend and I respect that. If he spends the night, is it inappropriate for us to snooze in the same bed? I know he use to like me, but this was about 2 years ago. We are not going to have sex or do anything sexual.

Open Question: College out of state?

I live in tennessee and have always wanted to go to college and live in alaska. first of every, is this stupid? How much extra would it be to go there? Also i'm really interested in paleontology, marine biology and zoology. Are these bad career choices? I'm mostly wondering if there will be any job oppurotunities and which choice would have more jobs. I would want to go in Fairbanks if i did. And if i couldn't go to Alaska, i would go to north carolina. its closer but its still out of state. thanks!

Open Question: Which is the best plan for joining the Marine Corps?

I'm going into my senior year, and I have 4 options on joining the Marines. I want to go to college right after I graduate high school, and I want to be an officer. So my four choices are enlist in the reserves this year and do PLC or go to OCS after I graduate college. But I most likely wouldn't receive my degree in four years, due to deployment. The other choices are OCS, PLC, and NROTC. I'm afraid it may be too tardy to start the NROTC scholarship application process. So which would you recommend? Thank you.

I heard that the marines have every the same benefits as the army is that true? Do the marines have every the benefits that the army does. Because I have heard that army gets benefits and marines receive pride. I think army has more benefits because they have more bases and more places to go. But the marines from what I have heard have most of the benefits of the army except they use older equipment but that it is more reliable. In the marines you receive most of the benefits that the army does and you can call yourself a marine. In the army you receive more benefits, the only one I really know about is more bases. Also is it only the marines that are front line? Which should I join?

i havent really flirted with her but she sends mixed signals, she invited me to go look valentines day with her freinds, but it was cancelled cause they couldnt go, she texts me things like guess who won her first softball game?? or do you watch (a show)and she says aww alot and "thats cute," she always answers my textts, thing is im shy and havent really flirted with her or taken it a step further,there was a time when i didnt text her much and she got a bf for a while and then broke up i havent spoken to her in a whhile cause shes been on vacation but i wanna text her and receive closer to her because shes not like other girls, any advice on really getting closer through text and hanging out thanks alot 12 minutes ago - 4 days left to answer. Open Question: Marine Corp Intel specialist (0231) job questions?

i am leaving for boot camp Aug 16th i am going in for intel spec (0231) but i only made a 108 on my GT and the job requirement was a 105 GT now i already took the DLAB test for the job ands passed it for people who know what a DLAB is, now most of the pooles or marines i talk to who are or are going in the intel field scored way more than i did but i can talk 4 diffrent languages and read and write 2 of them (Urdu, Hindi,gujrati and marathi) two of of them is spoken in pakistan and Afghanistan now here are my Questions to you:- 1) Will knowing every those languages help me in intel spec job? 2) because of my scores are low will i be held back from important work? or does that depend on how i do at MOS school? 3) and since i know every this languages will i ne doing something different in intel like instead of analyzing info going out and finding info or translating calls and email or conversations? 4) Do start with tiny work like monitoring and stuff or do i receive to do the big stuff first?

Open Question: Are there any regrets of joining the Marine Corps?

Im considering joining the marine corps or the army after college. im going to enlist first and then probably go to OCS when i feel comfortable being responsible for others lives. Im just wondering, are there any regrets of joining the marines or the army? I want to make a career out of it so re-enlistment is definetly something i would wish for. Im just wondering though if i am going to regret that decision. It seems like there are more re-enlistments in the army so im thinking about joining the marines and then the army after my service. Am I making the right decision with joining the marines or am i gonna wish id never joined? Also im going to be an infantrymen.

Open Question: Can I change my MOS if I was diagnosed with bipolar 1?

I was recently put in a mental hospital and I'm recovering now. I haven't talked with my unit yet (I'm in the Reserves-Marines) but my therapist said I need to try to receive out. I don't really wanna receive out so is there any way I can just change my MOS to a less stressful one? Not really sure how this every is gonna work out Also, if I were to talk to my CO about changing my MOS what would I go about saying to him?
